Jiu-Jitsu seminars for clubs and coaches

Seminars for jiu-jitsu clubs, coaches and teams. Focused topics, clear modules, in Berlin or at your academy.

Each seminar can be booked on its own or combined. I keep the number of topics small on purpose, so the group takes home a few things it can use the next day.

1. Strategy and game planning

Positional thinking, game plans, reading the opponent, decisions under pressure and how coaches can teach tactics. This is the seminar I teach most.

All modules and details

2. Movement for jiu-jitsu

Mobility, floor movement and body mechanics for grapplers, and how to keep training for decades.

  • Module 1: Hips and shoulders, active mobility
  • Module 2: Floor transitions: sitting, rolling, standing, falling
  • Module 3: Frames, posture and body mechanics
  • Module 4: Training for the long run: load, recovery and ageing well on the mat

There is also a movement workshop for general groups (in German): Bewegungstraining und Mobilität.

3. Self-defence for jiu-jitsu practitioners

Where sport jiu-jitsu carries over to a real situation and where it does not.

  • Module 1: Awareness, distance and early warning signs
  • Module 2: Posture, voice and boundaries, and how to leave a situation
  • Module 3: Standing grips and the clinch, getting up from the ground
  • Module 4: Control and escapes until help arrives, with consent and safe pressure

For companies and schools I teach a related format in German: Deeskalationstraining und Selbstbehauptung.

Note: Seminars are training sessions. They are not security services and not legal advice. Please train within your own limits and tell me about injuries in advance.
