Privacy policy

This is a short English version of the German privacy policy (Datenschutzerklärung). If they differ, the German one applies.

2. In short

This website collects as little data as possible. No tracking, no analytics, no social media plugins, no embedded videos and no external fonts. The site itself sets no cookies.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted at Uberspace (uberspace.de). When you visit, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser (user agent) and status code. Purpose: secure and stable operation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Logs are overwritten automatically after a few days (currently about seven).

4. Cloudflare

A protection and delivery service by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) sits in front of the site. Access data, in particular your IP address, passes through Cloudflare servers to fend off attacks and deliver pages faster. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

5. Security

A security plugin (Wordfence) protects the site against attacks and malware. It processes IP addresses of requests and login attempts and may send technical data about the site to the provider for checks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Contact

If you write to me by email, WhatsApp or Telegram, I process what you send to answer you, and delete it once the matter is settled unless I must keep it. WhatsApp and Telegram are third-party services, used only if you click their link; their privacy terms apply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

7. Waitlist and book notice (email)

If you sign up, I store your email address and the time and IP address of the sign-up and of your confirmation. You first receive a confirmation email (double opt-in); you are only added after you click. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The data sits on my own server at Uberspace and emails are sent from the same mail server. I do not pass it on. You can withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future, through the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to me. I then delete your data; proof of consent is kept only as long as needed to defend legal claims.

8. External links

This site links to other sites, for example YouTube, Instagram and bjj.berlin. No data is sent to them before you click a link. After that, their privacy terms apply.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Write to rodrigo@bjj-yoga.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin).
