During a sabbatical in 2015, I spent time in the mountains exploring consciousness and realized that much of our world is polarized and lacks balance. I saw a need for more lateral and critical thinking, cognitive flexibility, and open-mindedness. It became clear to me that it’s essential to have a broad worldview and connect different fields of knowledge rather than being highly specialized and closed off.
I envisioned creating a space not just for practicing a sport, but for building a community—one that supports personal growth and brings together people from all over the world with different backgrounds and ideologies. All united by the goal of improving their bodies and minds through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial art in which I hold a black belt. Today, that vision is a reality. As the owner of BJJ DOJO Berlin, I use Jiu-Jitsu and Yoga vault as tools to express my ideas and help my students do the same.
We never stop evolving. With the curiosity of a child, I continually seek new knowledge, drawing from yoga, spiritual sciences, martial arts, psychology, and the analytical mindset of an engineer. These diverse fields have allowed me to develop new systems, and I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of these teachings. My mission is to help my students experience the same growth and fulfillment I’ve found through Jiu-Jitsu and Yoga. The journey is not without challenges, but in the end, every effort is truly worth it.
